Food at The Old Vicarage

Paul is a talented cook, who uses fine local ingredients to create mouth-watering dishes. He makes his own stocks, bread, jams, marmalade, preserves, scones, cakes & pastries and whenever possible uses organic produce from local gardens, farms and shops.
Breakfast
Served between 8.30-9,30, breakfast may include free range eggs (hen or duck), excellent Marches home-cured bacon, award winning sausages or perhaps a warming bowl of porridge and honey to sustain you on an invigorating walk along Offa's Dyke.
Dinner
The fare at dinner depends on the supply of good local ingredients. The four course set dinner may include some of the following favourites
Paul is happy to cook your favourite meal (ingredients permitting) and he is particularly fond of recreating classic British dishes... don't hesitate to ask.

We are happy to cook for you, but also encourage you to enjoy the wide variety of excellent restaurants in the area. Ludlow, with renowned restaurants, is only 19 miles away. Good places to eat closer to home include The Stagg Inn at Titley, A Cook's Kitchen at Dunkerton's Cider Mill near Pembridge and The Lion at Leintwardine. Simpler fare can be had at the good cafés and pubs in Presteigne (for example Emily's) and Knighton (for example The Horse & Jockey).
